Senses (and sensibilities) - permission post
SO. As some of you might be aware, Ruby doubles as The Big Bad Wolf in her canon - a werewolf, to be precise, but some of it bleeds over into her human life. Of particular interest to this permission post? SUPER SENSES. Her senses seem akin to a wolf even in human form - she can track by smell, and hear your heartbeat like a hammer. This could potentially cross some boundaries for some people (atop of being difficult to keep track of, sometimes) - so. Permission post seems in order!

Do you mind if Ruby uses her senses to find things out about a character? Ruby's sense of smell is pretty powerful. We know she can track someone by scent - but in theory, it's not limited to that. She could probably smell someone's scent on you if you've spent time with them - not to mention what you recently ate, or whether you've been cleaning with bleach.
Is there anything you'd rather Ruby not be able to detect with her senses? Assuming your first answer was yes, is there anything you'd rather have off limits?
Are any of your characters not human? If so, who and what are they?
Is it possible to tell what they are by their scent? Even if it's just comparing them to other members of the species - or them smelling a bit like an earth species.
What do they smell like, normally? Even humans have a scent after all. Do they smell like something in particular?
Is there anything else out of the ordinary about your character, that someone with super senses might notice? Do they have two heart beats? Does your half-plant girl secrete tree sap instead of sweat? Anything you want to share, here's the place!

Are any of your characters not human? She is human. But her physiology has been altered by vampire blood.
Is it possible to tell what they are by their scent? Hm. Possibly? They were never especially clear on exactly how much the Source Blood did or what might have lingered. So I'm going to leave it up to you.
What do they smell like, normally? I've always thought she'd smell faintly like lavender. But it's probably more likely she smells a bit like tea and rain because, well, I'm not really sure why. It's just something I figure. I don't know. Wing it.

Is there anything else out of the ordinary about your character, that someone with super senses might notice? Not that I can think of! Unless you want her to notice he's certainly NOT from modern-day.

Is there anything you'd rather Ruby not be able to detect with her senses? I don't think there's anything she'd be able to detect that I don't want to come out yet.
Are any of your characters not human? Arguably both! Benevenuta would appear human to Ruby's super senses (and whether she is or she isn't is kind of a question mark depending on how you view immortality); Ilde is a naiad, specifically a Germanic Nixie from London Mysteries: Apocalypse and the illusion that covers her true appearance doesn't actually make her look properly human due to being sort of 'reality turned up over 9000', like an old school illumination on vellum of a young woman. This is by design; she has no desire to be considered human, but is super controlling about how she's seen.
Is it possible to tell what they are by their scent? With Benny, no. With Ilde, yes.
What do they smell like, normally? Benny is likely to smell like clean soap smells and the stables while she's working there - her most recent signature perfume is Guerlain's Shalimar, but she doesn't have it with her in Teleios. Very well-groomed. Ilde will always smell faintly of clean, fresh water; she used to wear Patou's Que sais-je? but again, does not have her perfume with her here. Uhhh due to vampire boyfriend, she also relatively regularly smells subtly of blood; hers is an intoxicant to creatures who consume it, she is basically a drug.
Is there anything else out of the ordinary about your character, that someone with super senses might notice? Pretty much anyone could notice this, but Ilde's illusion is visual only - underneath it, she still has sharp teeth, pearl-like chilled skin and the rest of it.

What do they smell like, normally? Castle says she smells like cherries so let's go with that. To Ruby, she would also... smell like Castle. And she spends a fair amount of time in kitchen with Castle, so she'd smell like kitchen, too.
Is there anything else out of the ordinary about your character, that someone with super senses might notice? Kate was shot in the heart at one point and survived and made a full recovery... I'm not a doctor and don't know anything about that kind of medical stuff, so I don't know if there would be any difference in her heart beat due to it, but I figured I'd mentioned it anyway since that is basically the only interesting thing about her that could apply to this. :/

Is there anything you'd rather Ruby not be able to detect with her senses? Not that I can think of. Might be fun if she somehow sensed old blood in her? By that I mean, Natasha is 84, but thanks to the serum, her aging was drastically slowed down.
Are any of your characters not human? She's human with Super Solider Serum in her.
Is it possible to tell what they are by their scent? That's up to you, but I'm game, as stated above.
What do they smell like, normally? Default perfume. Otherwise, she'll spend a lot of time around Stark and Banner, maybe Rogers. Kevlar from her suit, sweat from working out.

Are any of your characters not human? Sif is an Asgardian. Close-ish, but not human.
Is it possible to tell what they are by their scent? What they are specifically probably not, unless Ruby has some reason to know what Asgardians smell like. But she would I think be able to tell that they're not quite human. They probably smell like humans but better, cleaner.
What do they smell like, normally? Leather, metal, space, clean sweat, some sort of alien soap, awesomeness? I'm not very good at scent profiles, sorry. And hers isn't anything remarkable beyond the inhumanness. Thor and Loki are probably the people she will be spending the most time with, so smelling like them probably wouldn't be unusual.
Is there anything else out of the ordinary about your character that someone with super senses might notice? I expect that all Asgardians probably have quite slow resting heart rates since they're uncommonly fit. Feel free to ask if you've got questions, I'll try to remember to mention it in rp if there's anything Ruby might notice.

Do you mind if Ruby uses her senses to find things out about a character?Nope. Ruby can smell that Jon's tapping her bff every day or so XDDD Logan is fair game as well, but he might not be too happy about it
Is there anything you'd rather Ruby not be able to detect with her senses?Logan being a mutant. She can smell that he's not exactly human, but unless she's encountered a mutant before, she wouldn't know what he is.

What do they smell like, normally?Jon smells of winter, leather and steel, usually. Logan would smell metal-y too, due to the adamantium on his bones. And sweat and beer and manliness XDD
Is there anything else out of the ordinary about your character, that someone with super senses might notice? Jon probably smells a lot like Ghost as well, since they are always together, and with his AGF being granted, Ghost would probably notice that Ruby seems a bit more...knowledgeable now. I plan for Logan to regain his super senses as well, so Ruby and him can bond over that once I'm done with his AGF.

Are any of your characters not human? Sierra is normally a vampire and Sion is.... kind of a demigod in a way. It's complicated. This really only comes up during powers events though right.
Is it possible to tell what they are by their scent? During a powers event, you could probably tell Sierra's undead, yeah. Outside of that though she's more or less turned "human", but if you want to assume there's something a little off about her feel free, she doesn't exactly hide the fact that she's a vampire. At all. Sion I don't think so in any case because his spcialness has solely to do with spiritual-type powers that normally don't intersect with the physical/human world at all.
What do they smell like, normally? Sierra probably smells a bit like the outdoors, since she spends a lot of her time wandering around the island amusing herself. As in, think like the smell of a deep, quiet forest at night, as opposed to just a sunny park in the city. She has sex fairly regularly as she isn't shy at ALL about taking care of her collar, often with a wide variety of different partners, not to mention flirting and thus hanging around with all kinds of guys, so Red's definitely fine to pick up on that. She also spends a fair amount of time talking to/otherwise hanging out with Tir too (although usually not with any sex involved) so that's another thing to possibly pick up on.
Sion smells like paperwork. No, really. He works at the bank and at the courthouse and spends a LOT of time working with and around stuff like that. Paper and ink and books and so on. He also enjoys going out for a drink on occasion (especially with friends) so there's probably the occasional hint of wine in there too. Also, though he generally does a masterful job of hiding it otherwise, his scent probably gives away that he's nearly always slightly stressed/anxious/etc under the surface of things. He doesn't currently have a collar partner (which may or may not change in the future, we'll see) so he usually makes use of Mao or another such brothel, and puts it off as long as he can, which she could probably pick up on if she ran into him regularly enough. Other than people he works with the person he probably spends the most time with on the island is Samantha Carter, though other than a curse no sex is involved there.

Is there anything you'd rather Ruby not be able to detect with her senses? All should be good, just give me a heads up if blood's involved. There may be certain plot lines I'd wish to avoid that with, especially with Ava.

What do they smell like, normally? Mary smells like baked goods and kind of an earth scent. Ava is more floral, Jasmine and the like...also a clinging sex scent she would recognize as Boyd if she meets him. Those two barely come up for air.
Is there anything else out of the ordinary about your character, that someone with super senses might notice? Nope, not really.
